- AKAshley E KeefeJan 28, 20261.0CARELESS COSTLY MISTAKES: I just went to the Clayton Jiffy Lube for an inspection a few days ago. Coming out of it, I was told my car was overheating when it was brought in (it wasn't, I suspect that was just a lie to cover for what actually happened), that some hosing would need replacing but my car passed otherwise (somehow). I get my car back and barely even make it out of the parking lot before my engine ACTUALLY overheats. I turn around immediately and pull back into the jiffy lube. I'm told that the reason it's overheating is because of that leaking hosing that needs replacing, and they can't do that there. I was directed to an auto shop that would be able to fix it. (Thank God for that employee.) After having to leave my car at the other shop over the weekend, they called and told me the actual problem was the Jiffy Lube person who did my inspection didn't tighten a cap back up on my radiator after inspecting it, nor did they "burp" the air bubbles out of the cooling system, and that's what caused my engine to overheat. I'm leaving this review because this careless negligence with leaving air bubbles has happened here multiple times, with my husband, and now with me, with separate cars, causing us to have to go elsewhere to fix their screw-ups that end up costing us. Don't go here for your inspection. Find somewhere else.
