BUYER BEWARE - (Updated) The package washes are a deal, but be weary of buying them ahead of time online like I did, the system is glitchy – lots of complaints. After paying in FULL and three weeks of delays with multiple visits to the wash, and unanswered emails I finally got the issue resolved through customer service. Save yourself the headache and buy your package deal at the car wash in person, I hear the online system is known to be a headache, maybe they'll get it sorted out. Eeesh, all that for an RFID sticker.
As for the car wash .... Coming from Oregon, ride-through car washes are the norm and the tunnels at most are fairly deluxe with good air dryers, just get it done and skip the fluffy extras, although most offer vacuuming for free and more fancy shops have detailing services for extra $, similar to other lost around here and very common in California.
When you get here – There are three entry lanes, one lane is usually staffed with an employee and most lanes usually open. If there's a problem, someone often comes out sooner or later but it certainly can hold up the line. If you paid for a package wash the system will automatically scan your barcode and let you through the gate when its your turn, doesn't matter what line you're in they all have the camera scanners. All lines also have the credit card and wash selection payment terminals.
The wash tunnel itself is a longer ride-through with good scrubbers and lots of colorful bubbly that does a good job (no clue if it's eco-friendly), it's mildly fragrant and I've never had any body damage inflicted to my precious ride or over corrosion from the soaps. Complimentary vacuums, clean towels and sprays! Most of the staff are pretty cool and easy going and the place seems to run smoothly between moving cars along and keeping supplies full and clean. It does get busy, especially on nicer weather days and weekends and they also cater to local fleets, but the lines usually move pretty quickly. Unfortunately the machine does break down or get jammed from time to time, THANKFULLY the onsite manager was HANDY during one of my last visits and was able to fix a jammed roller pretty quickly Johnny-ON THE SPOT avoiding having to shut down. WHEW !! Someone give that guy a raise or buy him some lunch !!
Note: BE AWARE it's not always obvious you've been spit out of the exit track at the end where the lights FLASH GO (also be sure to disable your auto-brake (A) or crash sensors, on some newer models, even in Neutral they may still engage and cause troubles). Some vehicles have a wash mode, engage it. When you're at the tunnel exit, sometimes the flashing sign still says DRYING and the car behind you will keep creeping up but you're actually no longer in the push track so you won't get pushed forward anymore !! They should install big overhead or side mirrors, they do Oregon, so you can get the eff out of the way before it's too late 🤣 ... All in all, decent ride through wash, but corporate customer response can be dreadfully slow if you've got issues to deal with.
My only other RUDE gripe aside from corporate lagging - Parking for office customer visits is tough and limited, especially when busy, you pretty much have to use the vacuum slots as there's only one disabled parking spot next to the office and employees always occupy it. As someone who actually legitimately uses those spots it's annoying, not the end of the world, but annoying if not a violation of ordinance and law. Common now, if you've got perfectly good working youthful legs why not use them ?!
