We had a very positive experience with having the device installed. I had been to another company previously, without success. Pedro was kind, welcoming and extremely helpful in assisting me with my device installation. I arrived nervous and anxious, but his patience alleviated that! He spent ample time making sure I was comfortable, despite having many interruptions due to him being the only associate at this location. Highly recommend this particular location due to the obvious vast knowledge & experience Pedro possesses.

They had a network issue last week and I got locked out of my car because the breathalyzer stopped working. Our other car was in the shop, I had to leave it in public overnight (at 9:30 pm) and get a Lyft home. I wasn’t able to transport my 3 kids & get to work the next morning. I even reached out to Adam because I couldn’t get anyone through customer service at 9pm. He didn’t even respond to me when I was scared and in a crisis. No one from customer service ever apologized or explained what happened, and I’m left feeling scared now whenever I drive my car that it could happen again. I would check out other services before going with Intoxalock.

This review is more for the brand of device- I think this location was fine. Always kind and efficient so I put a second star on. But the intoxalock broke my Jeep AND they keep charging me even though the device was removed! After having the device uninstalled my Jeep gladiator is having all kinds of issues- it's only a few years old.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle.
