I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Valvoline location. What should have been a routine, simple oil change turned into an $800 repair bill and a great deal of frustration.
Immediately after leaving the shop, my check engine light came on. There were no warning lights prior to my visit. The timing was not a coincidence — the light appeared as soon as I drove away from the location. Concerned, I had the vehicle inspected, only to learn that damage had occurred that required approximately $800 in repairs.
When I contacted Valvoline to report the issue, I expected professionalism, accountability, and at the very least, transparent communication. Instead, I was met with resistance and a lack of responsibility. An “investigation” was supposedly opened, yet I was never properly updated. To make matters worse, the case was closed without any notification to me. I had to follow up myself to even learn that they had decided not to assume responsibility.
Closing a claim without informing the customer demonstrates a serious lack of integrity and customer care. Regardless of the outcome, basic communication is the bare minimum any reputable company should provide. The entire situation was handled poorly from start to finish.
An oil change should never result in engine issues moments after leaving the shop. The financial burden, inconvenience, and stress this caused were completely avoidable. I trusted this location with my vehicle, and that trust was not only broken — it was dismissed.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this Valvoline location. Customers deserve accountability, transparency, and professional service — none of which I received.
