  Barry the manager was extremely friendly. I waited less than 10 minutes and he explained everything to me throughly and I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me anything I didn’t need. He even helped me pull out onto the busy street. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the whole experience so much better. I would go here over other places even though it’s farther and more expensive.

  HUGE thank you to Barry & team for helping me out tonight! I pulled in super close to closing due to having to work late. I was about to start my trip to Charleston, SC and was hoping to get my oil changed before I went. When I got there, I told them I understood I was cutting it close and was totally fine if I needed to come tomorrow morning instead. Barry and team not only took me in, but got it done in less than 8 mins! 🤯 Absolute stellar team of people at this location who serviced me when they didn’t need to. Incredibly grateful 🙏

  Barry Brunson, claiming to be the manager, is smug and arrogant. He advised staff to roll up my windows to check my tint. My tint is medically necessary (per NC Administrative Code 19A 03D Section .0510; G.S. 20‑127 subsection (c) — Tinting Exceptions) and instead of asking those relevant questions, he flat-out failed me. I have a sticker in the bottom left of my rear windshield that proves my exemption, which won’t even be necessary in 2 weeks when the tint law is repealed. Barry was actually pulsing with delight when he delivered the news that he was failing my vehicle for tint. I’m ashamed to even share the same last name. His smug, gleeful attitude was shocking, but even more so was his threat to have me banned from every Valvoline simply for tryin to argue my point. He’s an idiot and a liability, you should consider hiring more knowledgeable, inclusive staff.

  The workers at this location did not screw my skid plate back on my car completely and left my shit hanging. They weren’t friendly or pleasant. Left a comment saying it was damaged prior to service but this was a newer car with the skid plate in place before I got serviced.

  I visited Valvoline on 10/22 for an oil change after my dealership recommended them due to limited availability. The service itself was good quick and professional but the communication could have been much better. I was blindsided by the total cost of $130, which I didn’t find out until after the service was completed. The technician should have clearly communicated the price and any additional needs before proceeding. For example, my vehicle requires 7 quarts of oil, but the standard service only includes 6. The extra quart cost nearly $20, which is fine but that should have been discussed upfront. After applying a $20 off coupon, my total came to $102. Overall, I appreciate the convenience and quality of service, but I really hope they improve communication with customers before performing work. Transparency goes a long way.
