- LCLeonard CrowderFeb 13, 20261.0I am so disappointed. I went there to have a timing belt tensioner replaced as my engine was making a lot of rattling noises. They told me I needed a whole new engine at the cost of $8,000. I went to another mechanic and they replaced the timing belt kit and now my engine is running quiet as a mouse. I am so sad that they tried to take me and a little bit of money that I have. This shop should reevaluate the mechanics they have and retrain them or get new ones thumbs down SpeeDee on N. Tryon. This site is a complete contrast to the SpeeDee Oil Change and auto service on South Boulevard. I would recommend them versus North Tryon!
