  Valvoline completed a full synthetic service on a European model, and while the technical work met basic expectations, the overall experience did not reflect the level of precision that vehicles in this class demand. The manager on duty appeared to be settling into his position, which is perfectly normal, but he spent more time in casual discussions with his team than actively guiding the service flow. Nothing was done incorrectly, yet the lack of visible leadership created a subtle gap in confidence. At other Valvoline locations, we have seen a more organized rhythm in the bay, along with a manager who sets the tone for focused, capable work. A meaningful improvement would be for the manager to stay consistently engaged during the service. Quick, intentional walkthroughs of the bay, paired with brief check ins with technicians, would immediately elevate the sense of coordination. When oversight is clear and steady, customers feel that their vehicle is in the hands of a team that understands the work and takes pride in it. This small shift in presence can transform an average visit into an experience that feels genuinely trustworthy and professionally grounded.

  The manager at the Chapel Hill location was extremely helpful. The whole staff was very knowledgeable and professional. The efficiency amongst the team is what sold me. 10/10 will be using the from now on.

  I drove up without an appointment and still got the motor oil change my car needed within twenty minutes. Dean was polite and helpful throughout the entire process. His coworker [didn't get his name] was amusing guiding me to align my car in work bay two. I was happy to have such an overall positive experience. I will definitely refer friends to this Valvoline location.

  I bought a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change ($76.50)for my college daughter. They performed the oil change and then told her that the Groupon was already used. I was on the phone with her the whole time. They kept saying that it was used, but it wasn't. They ended up charging her $132.99 and deducting the $76.50. Then they gave her a $15 coupon but charged her for a $14.99 air filter that she didn't need so that canceled out. Her air filter was just changed 6 months ago, she did not need a new one. This was the first time she was getting her oil changed by herself. She ended up paying an extra $70.32 onto of my Groupon ($76.50) that was never used. She was taken advantage of and my Groupon still shows that it was never used. This place is shady.

  My car gave me an indicator that I had 0% oil life during a trip from Maryland to North Carolina. I found this Valvoline location in Chapel Hill and they could not have been more accommodating. Daniel was very friendly and knowledgeable and experienced and the team members that worked on my vehicle were polite and prompt and responsive.
