Booked online for a same day appointment. When I showed up I was treated terribly by George at the Chapel Hill location who told me they were closed. I showed him my appointment confirmation and he blamed it on the website and told me I was in the wrong. I left the vehicle anyway for pickup the following day. $188 for an oil change seemed steep, but I was mostly disappointed that an inspector wasn’t available that day for annual NC vehicle inspection. When I picked up my vehicle it was parked in a mud puddle and up on an overgrown area and there were greasy fingerprints on the hood and doors. Drove home and parked to find the engine compartment smoking from oil that spilled…it was a lot. Had to bring it back so they could spray aerosol lubricant around the compartment and flush the oil out with a hose. Good times…1 out of 10 and I won’t be returning or recommending to anyone

I called to make an appointment to get a new tire due to having a flat tire, and was told I wouldn’t need to make an appointment and any time would be fine to bring it in. I came in at the time I had asked for, and was told that they wouldn’t be able to take any more people today.

I scheduled a 4:00pm appt for an oil change & state inspection. I arrived a few minutes early & checked in. I was walking around the shopping center to waste time. It was 4:30 and I noticed my car still had not been taken back so I went inside and nicely asked how much longer it would be. The lady working inside was very rude. I then went back outside to walk around. I called the store at 5:15 to see when my car would be ready. The person said they hadn't started on my car yet. I said nicely I had a 4:00 appt for what should be a short appt for an oil change & inspection. The person said my car would be ready in 30 minutes. I went back at 5:45 (which was 30 minutes) and while my car was being worked on it still it still wasn't ready. My car was finally ready a little bit after 5:50. So almost 2 hours for a simple oil change & state inspection for which I had an appointment seems completely ridiculous.

My tire was punctured yesterday, and I was first told by another tire shop (Chapel Hill Tire) that it was not repairable. They tried to sell me a replacement tire for over $300. They also mentioned a cheaper option at $150, but not available the same day, which I honestly felt like a sales tactic, since they could tell I couldn’t wait. I came to Mr. Tire just to give it a try. I told the manager (Evans was the manager who helped me, if I remember the name correctly) that I wanted to replace my tire. He did a quick inspection and told me the tire could actually be repaired. I was skeptical and even asked, “Are you sure you don’t want to replace it with a new tire like the other shop suggested? They said it couldn’t be repaired.” He just smiled and reassured me. In the end, they repaired my tire for only $24. Going from a $300 replacement to a $24 repair truly saved my Christmas day. I would highly recommend Mr. Tire to anyone who needs tire services. Their professionalism, honesty, and “customer over profit” mindset are exactly what this country needs more of today.

I'm my experience, this place never overcharges you or tries to sell you something you don't need. If your car is under warranty and it's an issue that the dealer should cover, they are honest and transparent about that and always recommend having the dealer fix it instead of taking my money. I really appreciate a place like this and will keep coming back.
