  Even though Mavis Tires & Brakes isn’t as prominently located as Discount Tire, which basks in the limelight along the bustling Highway 55, I’ve always found myself more at ease when I seek assistance at Mavis, nestled at 100 Towne Village Dr, Cary, NC 27513. It was once an NTB tire shop, but since Mavis took over, the transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. On this fine day, I had planned to visit my delightful 80-year-old mother, anticipating a cheerful catch-up. However, fate, as mischievous as ever, decided to intervene. Just as I pulled into her driveway, I suddenly realized I was experiencing the familiar deflation of one of my tires. With a sigh, I begrudgingly steered towards the nearest repair shop — Discount Tire on Highway 55, where my past experiences have been, let’s say, less than delightful. Those memories had me reminiscing about my tire replacement last May at a Mavis Discount Tire in Niagara Falls, New York. Ah, sweet nostalgia! Much to my surprise and sheer delight, the Cary branch was part of that same esteemed Mavis family. Talk about serendipity! My heart did a little jig as I pulled into the parking lot, fully aware that I was about to receive the kind of customer service that could make even the crankiest of curmudgeons crack a smile. The repair process was swift, taking a mere ten minutes, with zero charges. Yes, you read that right — completely free! Fast, efficient, and courteous service is quite a trifecta! The only aspect that struck me as peculiar was the serene atmosphere of the shop; apart from me and one other customer — a young lady engrossed in a television show to kill time — it was eerily quiet, as if we were the sole surviving humans in a post-apocalyptic world of tire repairs. Reflecting on this, I can’t help but think that sometimes, it’s worth wandering off the well-trodden path, away from the glitzy signs and roaring traffic, to discover hidden gems. Mavis Tires & Brakes may lack the flashy appeal of its competitors, but in my humble opinion, it’s the quality of service and the genuine care that truly makes the difference — after all, who needs the spotlight when you can shine quietly?

  They were fabulous, and they will work with you either whatever they need. Stacey was lovely and we will be recommended anyone to this Mavis!

  This is a shop that deserves 5 star rating. They did a superb job. I called them on a Sunday morning asking for coolant flush on my vehicle. They bought the manufacturer recommended coolant from a close by shop and did the work for me in about 1hr 15mins while I waited there. People were really very friendly. They knew what they were doing. I am sure I will go there the next time I have any service needs for my vehicle. I was quoted 189.99 + tax for the coolant flush elsewhere but Mavis did it for 129.99 + tax. Such a big difference in pricing as well. I also asked them to check my tires' tread depth. They obliged and got me the depth numbers. I know this is not a big deal to check but to oblige and do the work for their customer is something different and not everyone does that for free. Awesome job guys. Keep it up.

  I recently stopped by to purchase new tires and had a great experience. Vallin assisted me and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about different tires and such. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much Mavis for your honesty and patience.

  I wasn't going to leave a review originally. Things happen and even if it took 2.5 hours to mount 2 tires I wasn't going to get mad. Even after I noticed they forgot my custom valve covers I wasn't gonna leave a review. When I went to look at my rims after the service and saw they gouged my rim that was the final straw. Dont ever come here. Unless you enjoy long waits, a damaged vehicle and for your vehicle to be smoked in by employees.
