- TMTricia MSep 11, 20251.0On Sunday, September7, 2025, we brought our 2021 Toyota RAV-4 in to get the battery checked. The woman brought her diagnostic equipment to our car and tested it. We were told the battery was fine. The next day the battery was dead and we had to tow the car to Tiptons in Burnsville and our car had a new battery installed. Why didn’t this person at Advance Auto Parts know a battery was not good?

While I was there an elderly lady came back ,because they gave her the wrong light(it was night time).

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
