    I had attempted to use the enterprise in Boone twice and both times I have been completely frustrated and disappointed. The first instance is when I had made a reservation 5 days in advance to go home for Christmas. We received a confirmation number, as well as all the car information. Two hours before the pickup we were informed that they did not have the car and there was nothing they could do. We did not get to go home for Christmas because of this. The second time, my family was visiting. The same thing happened where they received a confirmation number and car, just to be told that they did not have it. After 6 hours of being on the phone with 7 different people between Boone in hickory, I was told I would be contacted by an area manager, as well as a corporate manager, neither of which happened. After being told many different things that were apparently “incorrect”, I made one final attempt to get the problem fixed so we were not stranded. I was then told by customer support that there was nothing they could do and to find another solution. I have never been so frustrated by a company and plan on never using them again. If you make a reservation in Boone, be prepared to find another rental somewhere else, because they will not assist you in any way.

    Appalling Customer Service My family was left completely stranded in Boone, NC, after our vehicle unexpectedly broke down. In a moment of crisis, my husband contacted Enterprise Rent-A-Car to reserve a premium SUV for a one-way trip from Boone, NC, to Florida, scheduled for pickup on Friday, January 2, 2026. The reservation clerk assured him over the phone that a premium SUV (Ford Expedition or Jeep Wagoneer) was available at the Boone location for a one-way rental to Florida, and then confirmed and booked the reservation. We received the official confirmation via email. On Friday, January 2, 2026, my husband promptly arrived at Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 1435 NC 105 in Boone, NC, at 8:00 am, presenting his official booking confirmation to two female staff members. To our utter disbelief, he was informed that there were no one-way premium SUVs available, even though the parking lot was fully stocked with them. When he referenced the confirmation, the employee dismissed it, saying, “The reservationist gets paid on commission, so they’ll book whatever.” This response was both unprofessional and deeply troubling, especially given our vulnerable circumstances. My husband reiterated the urgency of our situation, only to be met repeatedly with indifference and an offer of the only available vehicle, a woefully inadequate Nissan Rogue, which was not big enough for our family of six and all our luggage. When he expressed his dissatisfaction, the staff member was not only unhelpful but, at one point, while I listened over the phone, threatened, “I’ll just cancel your reservation then!” Incredibly, the employee refused to provide her name when requested, stating, “I don’t feel comfortable giving that to you.” My husband respectfully requested her assistance in locating a larger SUV for a one-way rental at another Enterprise location. Disappointingly, the staff member flatly refused to offer any support or explore alternative solutions. I sincerely hope there is video surveillance in the lobby, as my husband remained calm, polite, and apologetic throughout, simply trying to convey our predicament to an employee who was shockingly unempathetic and unprofessional. It is egregious that Enterprise's representatives would treat customers in this manner. Enterprise Corporation should be profoundly embarrassed by this appalling display of disregard for customers in distress. While I hesitate to say I will never rent from Enterprise again, if I do, it will only be as a last resort.

    My parents have been trying to leave Boone, NC to NYC 4 times they made a reservation and when they got to the branch there was no car available. And the 4th time the car was "guaranteed." Girl upfront said they tried to call. Our phones were on there was no call. Also 10 months ago I tried to rent a car with Chime credit and debit cards and they wouldnt take them so watch out. Also responses to the reviews are hog wash. You can reach out they dont care. They screwed us 4 times. Completely unreliable atrocious service. I hate their guts for putting us through this

    This location gave us a reservation for a car rental almost 3 weeks in advance and when we called a few days b4 to get some particulars they said no we don't do one way rentals so that reservation won't be honored! The representative was Rude and didn't care at all what problems they just caused me, that reservation was made online, was his response, no I called there store directly and apparently was forwarded to online reservation people, it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and because of that I will Never Use Enterprise AGAIN, The Folks @ The Boone Store DO NOT CARE! THEY HUNG UP ON US!!! DISGRACEFUL! The Employees of this Store Will Be The Cause Of Their Own Unemployment! SHAMEFUL! I Have solved my problem with No Help From Enterprise! If you own a competitor to Enterprise you need to put an Office right Here in Boone, you'll get 100% of the business from day 1! God Bless and God's Speed, 🙏 ☝️ 💪 🙌!

    One star is not enough to express my severe dissatisfaction with the service I have received from the Boone Enterprise branch. This is the third negative experience I have had with this location. Please rent from anywhere else. I had a confirmed one-way vehicle reservation scheduled for pickup at 9:00 AM for travel to the airport. Upon arrival, I was informed that no vehicle was available for me and that the Branch Manager had sent an email that morning, which was sent only an hour and 20 minutes before the scheduled pickup, informing me of the cancellation. I was told the issue was due to the system and limited holiday one-way rentals. As I reserved this vehicle several days in advance, I should have been notified by phone or at least the day prior, not shortly before my pickup time. The only alternative offered was a private rental, which was not acceptable. This incident, coupled with two previous poor experiences and the numerous negative online reviews, suggests a pattern of deficient customer service. On this and previous occasions, I have followed the steps to contact Customer Support, but I have never received a response. Boone Enterprise has consistently demonstrated a failure to prioritize customer needs, leaving customers stranded without taking responsibility or adequate action to correct the known issue.
