TJ's Marina and Boatyard is a family owned and operated business. In 1982, Toby and TJ began working together in Marine construction. After building marinas, docks, and boat lifts for others, they decided to begin building the marina and boatyard they saw a need for in Belhaven, NC. Since construction began in 2017, the marina has continued to grow and will do so for the foreseeable future.

    Looking for a family run, DIY boatyard with friendly helpful staff, you must stop here! This was our first summer north from Florida on our sailboat. TJs was recommended by a friend who spent time here last year. Family run, DIY yards are becoming harder to find. TJs became fully operational about 5 years ago and it obvious they are doing things right bc they are moving boats in and out every week. We met several people who have been coming here since they opened. The boat yard staff and the office staff are amazing: very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They provide golf carts and courtesy cars and apartments if you don’t want to stay on your boat. If you need a place to haul out but don’t want to go any farther north, consider TJs!!

    We can not say enough positive about this Marina. They go out of their way to help you and to make your stay enjoyable. Our boat was in good hands when we had to leave it for the summer. Best staff with amazing customer service and a great little town.

    TJ’s Boatyard and Marina is one of the best marinas we’ve ever visited. We needed a quick haul-out to service our sail drives and pressure wash the bottom of our boat, and the experience couldn’t have gone smoother. The crew was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire process. They had us out and back in the same day. Special thanks to Robert, who did an excellent job servicing our sail drives and even shared some valuable aftercare tips for our main engines. The turnaround was fast, the pricing was very reasonable, and to top it off, they let us borrow their minivan for a quick grocery run. We highly recommend TJ’s to fellow boaters for any boat maintenance or storage needs—top-notch service all around.

    Great boatyard right in the ICW in NC. This us my first haul out at TJ's. If relaunching is as smooth as the haul out, I'll bump my rating to 5 stars.
