  I have a Zips membership and this is my most used location. Only trouble I have is that sometimes the vacuums seem very weak, otherwise it's a good car wash.

  What a scam of a business. I went for a regular car wash 5 months ago and have just noticed that they signed me up for a membership without me even knowing. They’ve been taking $25/mo from me for FIVE MONTHS without any receipts to my email or notifying me in any way. I am beyond disgusted with this business. I’ve seen posts of them doing the same thing to other people. Don’t go to ZIPS anywhere unless you want money siphoned from your account without even knowing. 0 stars.

  Beware of the Zips car wash on Smokey Park Highway in Asheville! In January 2026 I went for a car wash after a few days of icy/snowy weather. I paid - I thought - for one car wash, the middle tier (24.00). Exactly one month later I got a charge from ZIPS for 24.00, even though I did not get a wash (my car was in the garage, I wasn’t even in town). I filed a complaint with my credit card company who said I should also return to ZIPS and try to get the matter resolved. I went on March 2 to the car wash and logged my complaint, saying I suspected I had been signed up for a subscription. The ZIPS manager denied it and said she had no record of me. She suggested my credit card had been stolen, and even SHOWED ME on her computer screen a woman with the same last 4 digits as my card, with same expiration date, who got a car wash on the date in question (I was invited to take a picture!) The manager said this woman may be using my card fraudulently and suggested I cancel my card! I made a second call to AmEx who assured me the 24.00 is a “recurring charge”. I’m on the hook for the February payment (thanks for nothing AmEx) and I’ve blocked ZIPS from charging me again which seems my only recourse as ZIPS denies I even have the subscription.
