  Accommodating, professional staff. Excellent diagnostic overview of my very high mileage car, but no pressure whatsoever to do extra repairs that were not essential from a safety standpoint.

  We were on vacation in Gatlinburg during a snowstorm, checking out early in the morning to head back to Jacksonville, Florida. It was around 6 a.m., zero degrees outside, and about an hour and a half into the drive I stopped for gas and noticed a strong burning oil smell. When I looked under the car, it was actively leaking oil. Most shops were closed due to the storm, but Precision International was open — and that alone felt like a lifesaver. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Tyler. He was friendly, calm, and professional right from the start. He grabbed a couple of technicians, and they came out immediately to look at the car. They found a major oil leak with barely any oil left. What really stood out was that they were not pushy at all. They explained my options honestly and let me decide how to proceed. Within minutes of getting the car into the shop, they diagnosed the issue as a leaking camshaft seal — which I already suspected — and that quick, confident diagnosis told me I was in the right place. They told me the repair would take about six hours, confirmed they had the seal in stock, and even provided a loaner vehicle so my family and I could get a hotel and regroup. About an hour later, Tyler texted me a full inspection report with photos showing exactly what they found. When they removed the camshaft pulley, they discovered it was cracked — the real source of the leak. Tyler showed me everything in person and explained it clearly. Despite the storm, they ordered the replacement pulley from multiple suppliers to get it as fast as possible. The part arrived the next morning, they got straight to work, tested everything thoroughly, took the car on a road test, confirmed there were no leaks, and got us safely back on the road. I do most of my own maintenance, so I know what fair pricing looks like — and their pricing was extremely reasonable. No upselling, no games, just honest work. This was hands down the best mechanic experience I’ve ever had. Being stranded far from home with your family is stressful, and Precision International completely restored my faith in auto repair shops. Tyler’s communication, professionalism, and kindness — along with the technicians’ urgency and skill — made all the difference. These guys deserve a lot of credit. Thank you for taking care of us and getting my family home safely.

  I just have to share my experience with this place recently. We have had some major stressful things happen with our vehicle lately. I had an urgent matter and We called a few places and PI was available that same day, within a few hours and I’m so glad it was. All we had actually done here was a diagnostic inspection. I spoke with Tyler many times and he explained the severity of the situation. But instead of trying to convince us to get the repair done there, he tried to do everything he could to help us out. He suggested trying to go to the dealership, he educated us tremendously and took so much time to do so. We ultimately picked up the car and brought it to the dealership and I have tremendous respect for this because it just proves how trustworthy and honest they are. After I had the car looked at at the dealership though, I called them back. Solely for their opinion! And most shops would not take the time to just simply help you, but when I called I ended up speaking to Burt this time and he literally took 40 minutes to talk to me about what the dealership diagnosed about my vehicle. He didn’t have to do that, our car wasn’t even at their shop. I can’t even express how kind these people are. I have so much gratitude for the conversations alone. In the future, we will take our vehicles here. Tyler and Burt are amazing employees and I have no doubt the mechanics are too. Very honest and trustworthy place.

  I had an alignment scheduled here in July 2025 and made it clear when dropping my car off that I needed it back by Friday for a vacation that weekend. Although they assured me it would be done, I didn’t hear from them the next day and had to call myself. Only then was I told that a bolt had broken due to rust, requiring it to be torched off and the control arms replaced. I was also told the other side would likely fail too. What bothered me most is that this wasn’t mentioned as a possibility until after the bolt was already broken, leaving me with no choice but to approve the repair. I went from expecting to spend around $200 to being charged $1,460. If I had been notified ahead of time, I would have taken the car to my usual shop for the repairs, where it would have been much cheaper, and then brought it back for the alignment. Parts were shipped standard even though I told them I was on a deadline. The front desk staff did help by having the tech stay late so I could pick up my car Saturday, which I appreciate. Still, the overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of communication and the huge unexpected expense.
