Do you love over paying for a service, not getting everything you paid for, getting disrespected for simply asking a question, AND being lied to when you talk to the manager about it? Then this is the place for you! Be sure to ask for Collin by name if you especially love an attitude problem, paired with a complete lack of job knowledge, and are hoping to be charged for things that are listed as complimentary with service.
On New Years Day, I called to schedule an oil change and tire rotation. The woman I spoke with informed me that tire rotations are complimentary with an oil change. When I asked an estimation of price, she said it starts at $50 but they will tell me more accurately when I arrive.
I arrive at my scheduled appointment to meet Collin, who was obviously unhappy to be there (cant blame him, neither was I). When they check my plate, Im informed its popping up as registered as a different car altogether, to which I reply must be wrong. I later learn they entered it in wrong and didnt bother fixing it or double checking (my paperwork at checkout has a completely different car listed so I guess Collin also doesn't know the difference between 'X' or 'Z'? Okay, no biggie.
Next time Im addressed, its for the payment, $120 range, a bit more than Im used to for my civic so I mentioned that I was told it started at $50, and was wondering why they didnt talk to me (again, not a big issue, just a question). The response I get is layered in attitude (and a curse word or two) about "the call center from India doesnt know what theyre talking about". Okay, whatever. Then I ask about the tire rotation, and Collin informs me they didnt do that. Again, I bring up the person I spoke with and what she said". Well, "shes all the way in India, how would she know? You have to pay for a tire rotation". 🙄 yeah, okay, Collin. I go outside to review my itemized receipt which CLEARLY INCLUDES a complimentary tire rotation with service.
So back inside I go, to find Collin already on the phone with his manager, Phoenix. (Phoenix, if youre reading this, thanks for trying to deescalate but in the future, dont assume the customer is stupid).
Phoenix politely informs me that they only rotate tires when the back tires are worse than the front. Even if that were true, my back tires ARE worse than my front tires because I forgot to rotate them with my last oil change. (For those wondering at home, you should ALWAYS rotate your tires so they wear down evenly). He did offer to check them out the next day, but after I thought about how he doesn't mind blatant lies to cover for his less than awesome staff, I do not feel comfortable returning.
HOWEVER, the customer service number was very helpful and restored my faith in the brand (excluding the Patton ave location) and connected me with another location that I can already tell is leaps and bounds ahead in professionalism and they will be providing my complimentary service instead. I look forward to providing that location a positive review when I go there tomorrow.
