I was not able to blow and hum for 8 sec. like the other place required. The staff were very informative and I was only there 2 1/2 hours. Not bad...I have not had any problems with the system since I got it...

There has always been two different guys that I have dealt with when I have been there. They are very helpful very black. Make sure they try their best to get to the bottom of the issue even though it is not their fault it is the direct Intoxalock Centers fault And they have no control over what is happening. They will do their best to fix everything that they can and they always have and always do the very polite over the phone very polite in person now as far as the company Intoxalock That’s a whole different story when you want to get it installed in your car they make sure you answer that phone. You don’t never have to wait on hold, but after your customer you spent hours waiting on hold, I give them a zero star, but as far as the guys on Celtic Drive, there are five star.

So I finally got used to the breathing device and I swear every time I go to get it calibrated it screws up!! I’ve been locked out TWICE since my calibration less than a week ago. I’m beginning to think you all screw it up during our calibration if we aren’t messing up enough with lockouts!!! Both of these lockouts were due to the device not accepting my breath. I’m about ready to get my attorney involved again!
Update: Someone did call me and try to help me and they also replaced the device with a different one which seems to be better.

Jodi B. has been the most helpful and kind person I've had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. From the first few minutes on our first call, Jodi has gone out of her way to help me figure things out. She even touched base with me to let me know she was leaving for the day, but would continue working on my case the following day. She has shown compassion, and I never felt judged or alone in this crazy process. Kindness goes a long way, and Jodi truly left an impression.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
Can I install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle I don’t own?
Yes, in most cases, you can install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle you regularly drive, even if you’re not the registered owner. However, the vehicle owner must provide consent for the installation. Intoxalock works with you and the owner to ensure compliance with state regulations and the successful setup of the device.
