  I went to Mavis tire and brakes and Apex, North Carolina. The service was excellent. They took me right in took my information. They were very courteous, polite respectful. The waiting time was less than 20 minutes to fix a flat. I highly recommend Mavis tire and brakes.

  Had a flat and discovered the spare was nearly flat when I put it on. Luckily, this Mavis location was right around the corner. Pulled up and they immediately went to work. Lincoln, JR and the guys were super helpful. Found the valve stem was bad and replaced it quickly. I asked if they could put the tire back on and did so for no extra charge. They even pumped up the spare for me before putting it back in the car. This team is great and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for tires or service in the Apex area.

  Came in for an oil change using an offer that included tire rotation and a brake inspection. The tire rotation was not done, they only told me after I asked and gave not explanation why. For the brake inspection, they said it was done, but there’s no note on the invoice or any clear documentation of what was checked. I have low confidence that the breaks were checked. Pricing and options were also not transparent. They didn’t explain what oil choices were available or what the different prices were, and pricing wasn’t clearly available online. I had to ask everything myself instead of them being upfront. Another downside: they don’t report service records to CARFAX. They said they “don’t sell data,” but I want my maintenance to show up on the CARFAX report, and that isn’t offered here. It didn't feel professional, the atmosphere wasn’t welcoming and I didn’t like how I was approached. When I got my car back it smelled strongly of smoke, like someone with heavy smoke odor had been sitting in it. All in all, bad experience. I won’t be coming back to this location and probably won't use Mavis for any services on future.

  Been going to this place and have not been disappointed till date. My most recent experience with Slavic, reinforces my opinion of this place. I'm the middle of a busy holiday week, He took the trouble to check on a SUV charger fuse, no wait time, went through the circuit and fixed it at no cost. Comes across as a calm, positive Mgr , with an excellent attitude. The goodwill is priceless.

  I’m writing this review because the experience I had at Mavis Tires & Brakes was frankly unacceptable and people deserve to know. I made an appointment online to get all four brakes replaced, and while the initial scheduling and confirmation went smoothly, everything after that was a mess. First, they only received the rear brakes from the parts supplier, even though they should have gotten both front and rear sets. This led to a long delay as they had to reorder and wait for the front brakes to be delivered from a store 30 minutes away. When the front brakes finally arrived, they turned out to be the wrong ones entirely, because the person receiving the deliveries didn’t know enough to verify the parts and just accepted them without checking. That meant another long wait for the correct parts to arrive. On top of that, the staff member I dealt with, Slavic (who also goes by Matthew), tried to upsell me by blatantly lying about the condition of my front brakes. The mechanic mentioned that the front brakes had about 25% life left and could be pad-slapped if I wanted a more budget-friendly fix. Slavic, however, told me the front brakes were 90-95% worn and insisted on a full replacement purely to make more money, even though I was already prepared to do all four brakes. This kind of dishonesty is just plain scummy. To make matters worse, the quote Slavic gave me didn’t include labor costs, so when I went to pay, the total was $1,300—way above the initial quote of around $570 plus the brake flush. The final price wasn’t the issue so much as the deceptive quoting and the lack of transparency. In the end, it was hours of waiting, no apologies for the delays, and a lot of shady behavior from a staff member who seemed more interested in upselling than honest service. If you do end up at this Mavis location, just be wary. The only positive note is that one of the front desk staff was actually kind and helpful, but unfortunately, that didn’t make up for the rest of the experience.
