I purchased a $250 battery from Carquest, and unfortunately it failed just over a year later. The battery was still under warranty, but when I returned to the store, the supervisor refused to honor the warranty or replace it. What’s most frustrating is not the battery failure — things happen — but the lack of support and refusal to stand behind a product that was clearly covered. At this price point, I expected better customer service and accountability. For comparison, I went to Costco and purchased a higher-quality battery for $135. They installed it, credited the core charge, and clearly stand behind their product and warranty — all at a lower price. I strongly recommend that others carefully review the warranty terms and consider how Carquest handles warranty claims before purchasing. Based on my experience, I would not buy a battery from Carquest again.
