  I showed up to the Great Falls International airport at 10 o'clock at night. With no previous allegiance to any car company and no reservation, I walked over and waited in line among the three car companied. I chose Hertz because it was the only name I recognized. In long line of people I began to glance at the other two companies that I hadn't heard of. Behind the National counter stood a young woman by the name of Kaylyn Gallagher. After all day of traveling and finally arriving at our destination late at night, Miss Gallagher was the only person working behind a counter that had a smile on her face. Almost immediately I left the line I was standing in to go and talk to a welcoming face. Kaylyn was helpful, insightful, encouraging, she helped me not only find a car, but resolved my issues, and saved me money. I was extremely grateful to have interacted with her that evening and if your entire company was staffed with people, likeminded to Miss Gallagher, National will be at the top of the Forbes 500 list by the end of the year

  Why do you not have a choice of 0 stars? I reserved a vehicle at the Great Falls, MT Airport 18 days prior to my arrival only to be contacted just minutes before my connecting flight departed that there would not be any cars for days. I needed the car to travel another 150 miles to my destination. The customer service agent at the airport, who I hold totally blameless, had to deliver the message in canned company language; therefore, I had to abandon the trip and fly back to my origin city. The good news is my company didn't have to pay for the rental I never got to use. The bad news is they did have to pay for the airfare, meals, one hotel night due to failure to cancel the day before arrival, and some miscellaenous travel costs. It came to over $1,000. National offered about $100 worth of free rental as a consolation prize. This is not my first time experiencing an issue at the Great Falls airport. Either honor reservations or don't let people reserve vehicles. P.S. Please do not reply with the same lame language you use with all the other dissatisfied customers.

  Cancelled our rental within an hour of our planned pickup and left us scrambling to find a replacement.
