There was a chip in the windshield that had been filled in per their report and as we drove the car the crack expanded from that chip across the whole windshield due to the heat. They told us since the chip had been filled I would be liable even though it was clear it was coming from that exact spot and the chip hadn't been filled in properly. I will going forward refuse to rent a car with any chip or dent in the windshield as this is what happens, I'm left with a $1,250 bill. Will be avoiding National car rental in the future.
