I cannot say enough good things about Midas in Tupelo, Mississippi, especially Jason Weatherford.
We had to leave our home during the ice storm because we had no power or water, and our gas heat wasn’t working properly or safely for our two small children (ages 3 and 5). Right before the storm, we had replaced a tire that had wires showing, and that’s when we first learned there were issues with our ball joints. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to get them fixed before the storm hit.
On the way to Tupelo, our vehicle felt so bad we honestly thought the wheel was going to fall off. We were terrified driving on icy roads with bad ball joints and our kids in the car. I called several tire places just hoping someone would look at it to see if it was safe to drive, but most places were closed because of the storm.
We were hungry, exhausted, scared, and praying the whole way. We were originally going to try another tire shop on the other side of town, but we weren’t sure if they would even be able to look at it. Since we were starving and unsure what to do, I felt led to head toward somewhere to eat, hoping we’d find help along the way, and that’s when we saw Midas. Jason happened to be there at just the right time, and everything lined up exactly as it should have. You can truly see the Lord’s hand in all of it.
My husband went in and explained what was going on, and Jason immediately got our vehicle into the shop and checked it out. He explained that it wasn’t just the ball joints, but the entire left control arm that was bad, and he could fix it.
On top of that, he gave us a courtesy vehicle so we could go eat while they worked on it. He even tried to fix it that same night after closing time, but had to wait on a part, so he let us keep the loaner overnight and bring it back the next morning.
By the next morning before lunch, our vehicle was fixed. The entire process was so smooth and stress-free. Jason went above and beyond. He even transferred our kids’ car seats into the loaner vehicle, buckled them in, and helped us load what we needed since we were displaced from our home.
His kindness, compassion, and professionalism meant more to our family than he will ever know during such a hard time.
Even though we don’t live in Tupelo, we will absolutely be back and will gladly make the drive because of the care we received. We will be telling everyone about Jason and Midas.
Thank you so much, Jason and Midas. We truly appreciate you!
