    Heads up to anyone who wants to buy a vehicle from Metro Ford in Tupelo Mississippi: We ordered a Maverick back in March and it just arrived a couple of weeks ago. The price has increased from the original quote and we had to figure out how we were going to pay for the difference. They did help us out on the price, but it was still more than expected. We stayed in constant contact with the salesman until he suddenly stopped working there. I called the new salesman and scheduled a time to buy the truck this week. Finance person called me to confirm the payment plan, there was an issue with the interest rate and she said she would call me back. All of sudden, they ghosted me for two days. Wouldn't return my calls. Wouldn't answer the phone. Turned out, they sold the truck. Cody, the manager, called to let me know it was my fault for taking to long to make a major financial decision in this economy and a small truck on his lot was costing him too much money. He "assumed", his word not mine, that I wasn't going to buy the truck and then sold it without informing me first. Then he said to me "Before you go bad mouthing us, I gave you the opportunity to buy it the day you came in to look at it." Yes, you gave me the opportunity to make a split second decision on a price difference that I was not told about until the day I came in to look at the truck even though I asked for updates on the vehicle and it's price several times leading up to that point. Thanks for shifting the blame to the customer and taking zero responsibility for your team's constant lying by omission during this experience with your company. PS: I'm sure Cody or someone from Metro Ford will respond with more blame to the customer for taking so long on making a decision. It did take us a few weeks to decide on the purchase.
