Do not take your car to this dealership. I went in for plugs and belt to be changed. I went back to them because the pulley tensioner for the belt was making noise. They sprayed something evidently on it to quiet it down and told me ‘oh you need to replace the pulley tensioner now’. Keep in mind my tensioner was fine until they touched it. Got back home and you can see where some kind of object had been pried up against the pulley which they did when putting the belt on. No marks on it prior to them servicing. I’m beyond words because now I have to put out more money because they were too lazy to do it the proper way and was rushing due to it being a Saturday and put unnecessary pressure on a pulley and damaged it. I’m still waiting on the parts to come in. I will be contacting Honda corporate and turn them over to the Better Business Bureau. You guys are supposed to be trustworthy certified mechanics and a customer has to deal with your screw ups. I cannot help to think how many more vehicles you guys have done things like this too. I’ve always done the required maintenance on my vehicle and now I have to dish out 1000 more just to correct the issue they created. Definitely do not go to this Honda dealership, especially on a Saturday, it inconveniences them on a Saturday and it is evident they are taking short cuts.

Pinebelt is a great dealership. But, Honda Corp doesn’t necessarily honor the warranty that a buyer thinks that they have with their new vehicle. My CRV, in the last leg of a 9 hour trip, brandished warning lights that prompted me to seek service. The warnings were in regard to the cruise control, interactive cruise, etc that abruptly stopped functioning. I called & made an appointment at the dealership shortly after the occurrence while on the return trip. After arriving home & then restarting it, the warning lights were gone and the operation of the cruise returned to normal. Although, the trouble codes were accessible to Pinebelt’s service dept, I was told that Honda wouldn’t reimburse them so I had to pay for their time since no part was required. This is a product problem, not a customer error problem and should be covered under the warranty. My second new Honda and am disappointed.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and within 24 hours of driving it off the lot, one of the tires split. When I went back to get help, I was given two completely different explanations by two different workers — one said I must have hit something (which I absolutely did not), and another said it looked “malicious” and someone must have stabbed the tire. Neither explanation made sense, and neither came with any real solution. Then, the sales person stated the management team told him there was a “big chunk” missing from the tire.
What made this experience even worse is that I had just spent over $1,000 at this dealership the day before, under the impression that the tires were brand new. I was even told I didn’t need a tire warranty because the tires were supposedly in perfect condition. Yet less than a day later, I was being told I needed to pay for a replacement.
The lack of responsibility, accountability, and consistency from the service department was extremely frustrating. I shouldn’t have to come out of pocket for an issue that happened immediately after purchase — especially with “new” tires.
While the salesperson was polite through text, the dealership as a whole did nothing to resolve the problem on the spot, leaving us driving on a spare tire. It’s clear why this location has the reputation it does in Hattiesburg — the customers are not taken care of, even for something as small and straightforward as a tire on a vehicle purchased LESS than a day prior.
I can’t recommend this dealership to anyone based on my experience. If you’re considering buying a car here, be cautious and double-check everything they tell you.

My experience with Pine Belt Honda has been excellent. Stephen Mason got me a quote quickly and without any games, and he was super responsive to questions leading up to the sale and even afterwards when I asked for help knowing when to get things done or expect payments to start. A+ sales guy. If I was running a dealership I’d hire him ASAP. The guy that did the financing/warranty info was also super nice, and I never felt pressured. They let me pick what I thought I needed, and didn’t try to keep upselling me or anything. Great experience all around. I haven’t had to deal with service yet, but if it’s anything like their sales staff I’m sure it’s great. When my wife needs a new car as well, we will be going back here.

I want to share my experience at Pinebelt Honda and Jeep in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. My salesman was Nate. Nate was very gracious patient and very very friendly. He took his time and showed me all the car option's. He walked me through the whole process, introduced me to all the people that would be involved in my purchasing the car. This is hands-down one of the best experience I’ve ever had with purchasing a car. I came in very frustrated that someone had hit my car totaled it and they had no insurance but after leaving there, I forgot told you about the situation. Go to Hattiesburg to the Pinebelt Honda location and ask for NATE, he has 100% great customer service, great personality and a very humble guy.
