- PWPhyllis WhiteJan 5, 20265.0I was trying to get a radiator cap for my car and I was running late trying to try there before they closed so I called ahead and was told"no they could not wait on me to pick up my order, I quotidian m would have to wait until the following day" but I went ahead trying to make it before closing. When I arrived, they were already closing. The employee that was working, let me in, although it was past closing time. He was very sober sincere, and very nice. He let me pick up my order, even though it was extra 0 work for him and he was so pleasant about doing it! So this man deserves a thumbs up and possibly a raise!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
