  The two guys who did my oil change and filter were very nice. I asked about 10 stupid questions they answered all of the very kindly. One man got a coupon online for me to the cost would be cheaper and I really appreciate it I didn't know they had coupons online nor did I have a cell phone with me at the time. Was a great experience all around. plus ladies, out of the 4 mechanics not a one of them was bad looking 😉

  Stephen was very upset that I arrived at 6:45 for an oil change. He made it a point to let me know how great it was that I was there when theyre getting ready to close. Then whoever was down below found out I was in a tacoma he was really thrilled about that. Those 2 made multiple comments about the type of car I was in So if your in a tacoma & its during business hours I would not recommend going to this valvoline because both of those things seemed to be a really big issue with these employees.If you don't like your job get a different one!!!

  Zero stars if possible. They do the oil change properly, but (and I forget his name) the man with the glasses WILL try to scare you into paying for pricier oil that you do not need. Really all of these car service chains like Valvoline or CarX should be avoided like the plague. Dobbs too. I have a basic sedan that runs fine on conventional, yet last month I was told by the aforementioned man that conventional is bad for my engine and I need to pay the extra 20 bucks for synthetic. I called a trusted mechanic in the St. Charles area to weigh in on this, he said for a basic sedan like mine, conventional is just fine and there's no reason to do synthetic I could go on a whole rant about how these car service chains have drained me out of money I never needed to spend in the first place, but I won't. I also won't go into detail about the "coolant leak" they added to my notes, which was literally just water from my AC. I will never be going back, not just to Valvoline, but to any chain repair service. tl:dr I understand Valvoline is more convenient, but in this case it's just worth it to schedule an appointment with a privately owned car shop. It helps the modest folks who own them, and it saves you the trouble of paying extra money for repairs you never needed in the first place.
