I arrived for a 9am pickup at 840am. The lady working there was in the back on her phone, came out, called another office, nobody answered, so she said she would try again, bc she said the car had t9 be delivered. When she finally got through to the other office, she told me it would be five to eight minutes. That was at 845. At 930 I checked back in after several times to overhear the other office manager say that I had to understand (things happen, short staffed, busy).
No, I don't. And that was rude. Don't pick up a car here; go to the airport location.

make a reservation at 10 am. they call me and say the car is not ready. then what’s the reservation for?! if you can’t provide then dont take any more reservations! the staff don’t know anything about reservations, they say reservations are from the headquarters, they just there in the store.

Booked a van online to pick up. They said they didn’t have one so they sent me to the airport which is 20 minutes away. If you need a rental car in St Louis I’d recommend not dealing with the downtime location and figure out how to pick up at the airport. Also, I feel terrible for the guy working at the store. It sounds like Enterprise is setting this guy up to fail and has a mess on their hands. I do not blame the guy I talked with on the phone and I feel terrible for him. Whoever the manager is at this location needs to get their head out of the ground.

Last week I arrived via train and walked 30 min to this office for a 4pm car rental pick up. I was met with a sign that said "We are temporarily away assisting another customer." What the sign SHOULD have said is that they were CLOSED. No courtesy call to let me know to go to the other office. After waiting a few minutes, I called the number on the sign. The number took me to Enterprise customer service phone tree. After being transferred several times I was finally able to contact the 2233 Washington office. They immediately came to pick me up. Apparently the first office was CLOSED due to lack of staffing. 2nd office was courteous and professional. The car I was given had a suffocating air freshener/cleaning solution and a cracked windshield. I had to drive with the windows open because of the strong air freshener that smell never subsided in the 24 hour rental. Enterprise apparently offers courtesy pick ups and drop offs, that was never offered. I didn't feel I could impose on the staff for a ride to the train station because they were short staffed again and their office was packed with customers. Not the best experience.
