  I was there at about 3:40 AM today. What a horrible experience. There was probably three or four people in the store while I was there and I had no choice but to use the self check out because the worker that was on duty was in the office doing whatever he was doing not paying attention to people waiting to check out. So I use the self check out because he was clearly too lazy to walk from the little office over to the counter to check people out. I wouldn’t even be mad about using the self check out. It’s the simple fact that the employee never came out of the office while I was there at all. You would think the workers would greet you like they do it other stations or at least acknowledge that they know you’re there instead of standing in the office doing whatever. He clearly acted like he was bothered by customers. Imagine walking in to where someone works and they act inconvenienced that they actually have to work!

  As of a suppose non compete clause with Flying J/ Pilot(Apparently owned Kum & Go) Maverick boarded up their showers... Even though they sell "Truck diesel" and offer everything else a truck stop has to offer. The showers were a deal breaker in a multimillion dollar acquisition. Personally I believe they are lazy and do not want to have that available for drivers. People should (probably will not) boycott this location and close them down.
