- WWWill Westmoreland4 days ago1.01.8.2026: I have rented from Enterprise for decades. I called their reservation line today to rent a vehicle. I let them know I was using a debit card attached to our nonprofit. I have used this same card to rent from Enterprise on multiple occasions in the past. I was told that this would not be a problem. It has never been a problem in the past with Enterprise. She transferred me to the location on Sunshine in Springfield, MO to confirm the availability of the mid-size SUV. While on the phone I asked if using the same debit card I have always used would present a problem since I did not make the reservation 24 hours in advance. At this point I was told that I would need to bring in a copy of two utility bills with my address attached to them in order to use the card. The problem is I live in a rural area and my only utility company is an electric co-op. Enterprise has allowed me to use this card with no issues twice in the last few months. I have been renting from Enterprise for 25 years. At this point they should know, based on my past rentals, that I am not a fraud or theft threat. But all they do is repeatedly read policy to you. No one takes the time to realize how absurd the policy is and to resolve the issue. It is incredibly frustrating and absurd. I just want to give you money and rent a car. Just like I have done hundreds of times over the last 25 years. Why treat me like a criminal?

They mean nothing. Go to the Kearney location. The guys there are amazing! They will get u in your car and out the door. The young man helping us was so funny and just very nice.. He turned the stressful situation into a pretty good experience.
