Paid for my rental and as I left they called and said my card was expired, even though I’m showing them on my phone that it was paid and transaction was showing in my discover card app. Instead they reversed the contract, stating that it would cancel out and the funds will be immediately on my card. We all know that’s not the case and that it’s a lengthy process for money to go back on your card. Then they begin to swipe my card and act surprised that the funds haven’t been returned. Called discover and they stated it will take 10 days for my money to be back in the card. I was fired today for missing work. They offered nothing to help me, just told me to use a different card as if everyone has an extra $600 laying around. Disappointed and heartbroken is an understatement, it’s hard to find good jobs when you don’t have the best background, the last of my funds were used to get a rental since my car broke down, and they left me completely out to dry. I know they don’t care because their lives aren’t affected, but they ruined mine.
