I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. I made an online reservation for a Toyota Corolla (paying extra for the upgrade due to luggage needs) and was quoted $105 plus tax. The location even called me the day before to confirm.
When I arrived, the "reservation" meant nothing. The only car available was a Mitsubishi Mirage—a significant downgrade that could barely fit my luggage. To make matters worse, my final total was $150. The manager claimed he gave me a "15% discount" because the car wasn’t ideal, yet the price was still substantially higher than my original quote for a better car.
The atmosphere in the lobby was uncomfortable, filled with unhappy customers. I witnessed the manager tell a man on the phone a car was waiting for him, only to give that specific car to a walk-in customer 20 minutes later. It is clear that this location is not upfront about inventory and does not honor reservations. Proceed with caution.

One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had in St. Louis. Customer service like this is so rare.
One of the most stressful/worst weeks of my life led to me needing a car last minute. I was able to easily make a reservation online, and the pricing was very straight forward.
When I went in to pick up the car, there was a line, but the employees dealt with it very efficiently, but also didn't rush the customers. I was very struck by how amazing both employees were with each customer, regardless of age/race/appearance/etc. The woman in front of me was older, and they treated her exactly how I would want my mom to be treated.
When it was my turn, we realized I had made my reservation for the wrong location. The manager, Max, treated me so kindly. He didn't get mad. He didn't blame me. He didn't act like it was a problem or inconvenience for him. He assured me that he would find a solution. Even though it was definitely my fault and I made a mistake, he did not treat me as such. I know he went out of his way to help me, and even upgraded the car for me, which really helped me as I didn't have a way to get to a different location. Based on how he treated me, even if they didn't have a car available (since the car I reserved was at a different location and I went to the wrong location), I still feel like he would have helped me figure things out.
They offered me insurance and extras but didn't push me. During my rental I had to call and ask a question. The person on the phone, sorry I don't know her name, was also so kind and helpful. When I returned the car they answered all my dumb questions.
It is so rare, in my opinion, to receive good customer service in St. Louis, or just in our modern times. I am absolutely impressed with every single employee I encountered here. They turned what could have been a very stressful, awful situation into one of the best consumer experiences I've had a in a long time.

Absolutely the Worst Experience I’ve Ever Had with a Rental Company
I booked a reservation with Enterprise for a specific vehicle — one they claimed was available because the system let me reserve it. To be safe, I even called ahead, only to find out that not only do they not have the car, but apparently I have to call around to other branches to hunt one down myself.
Every branch I called immediately dumped me on hold for 10–15 minutes — no greeting, no explanation — just that smug hold music preaching about how “at Enterprise, you get the customer service you deserve.” I guess that’s true, because what I got was none.
When someone finally answered, I was told (again) that no one had the vehicle I reserved. Every interaction felt like a complete brush-off — no accountability, no empathy, and certainly no effort to fix the problem.
How is it acceptable to confirm a reservation for a vehicle you don’t even have? Why am I the one doing the legwork calling branch after branch to find what I already reserved?
This is hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. If you value your time, your sanity, or basic professionalism — go anywhere else for a rental. Enterprise has clearly forgotten what “we’ll pick you up” used to mean.
P.S. Still don’t have a car. Still don’t have any hope of getting one. Apparently, Enterprise Rentals is more interested in taking your money than actually providing the service — or the vehicle — you paid for.
