Today, I went there to buy a wheel hub bearing and a black small curly hair lady whom I have never seen her at that store before and who said she is a store manager gave me the part in the box and when I opened the box and checked it, I found out that it was a broken used part without plastic wrap , dirty, loose and when I showed her, she said she would get me another one. She gave me a new one and after I purchased, I left the store and drove toward my home but on the way, I changed my mind because after I saw the loose one I am scare that it might not last and thought about buying the oem part from dealership because the installation is too expensive and it would cost me even more if It does not last long. It was just about only 5 minutes after I left the store but when I went back to the return, and while another store employee was helping me to do the return process ,that black lady said that she is the manager and there is no return policy. I told her that I haven’t even open the wrap but she insisted that there is no return policy at her store and asked me to go to a different Auto Zone store to return it. I went to the other Auto Zone store and I could return it easily because I have the receipt and haven’t even opened the plastic wrap yet. After that,I contacted someone on their website and had a live chat with him and he told me that he would pass the complaint to the regional manager and investigate the issue with her. I live in the area and it used to be my favorite store because they used to be very friendly and helpful but that new manager is very unprofessional and acted like her own business.I was so lucky that when she gave me the broken one , before I purchased, I checked it and found out that it was the used one , other way she would have sold it to me and I could not return it to even a different store.I will never go back to that store as long as she works there.

Went here for a new headlight bulb. I should’ve just googled the information myself but I’m not a car expert so I thought it would be safer to rely on the expertise of Auto Zone. I gave them my make and model and they told me to get a specific bulb, which was incorrect. Not a big deal, although I wish the clerk who helped me out would’ve put more than a nanosecond of effort, and would’ve seen that the bulb they sold me was a high beam. I returned today to swap the bulb. There was a queue when I walked in, and a tall clerk was “helping” another customer whose English was clearly a second language. And by help I mean, berating the man for not knowing English and trying to communicate via his phone’s Google translate app and a mix of Spanglish. “English or Spanish man, pick one”. The gentleman left unhelped. Now it was my turn theoretically. I was told to wait in the returns line, while the returns clerk left to install a battery. The tall gentleman proceeded to stand around kind of watching me wait. Eventually he helped another customer cut in front of me to purchase something. I don’t know why the battery guy had to be the one to do the return - he looked like just a kid who was listening to headphones while he worked anyways. It was nearing the end of my lunch break so I had to leave. I’m now two lunch breaks in the hole and I’ll have to return a third time to get the right bulb, at night with a busted headlight, which is what I was trying to avoid by coming at lunch. I’m sure the job is another retail job, but this is one of those places that treats every customer like a burden and they would rather not have any customers so they can chill.
