We went to pick up our rental last night for our road trip, and were told we had to provide a credit card for our reservation and we couldn’t use our debit card - which had the GUARANTEED FUNDS available to cover our entire rental plus the deposit. All because we didn’t have a flight booked. Ridiculous. They turned away a paying customer, and have now lost our business going forward. Not only that, but we had to scramble last minute to figure out our transportation for our road trip, causing so much unnecessary stress and anxiety. Thank you for NOTHING.

The shuttle brought me to the Alamo desk instead, and the process couldn’t have been easier. After a long travel day, seeing friendly, smiling faces at 1 a.m. made such a difference. I didn’t catch their names, but both employees were wonderful. The woman was so kind, and the man and I had a really nice conversation. Great customer service all around!

I did "skip the counter" and they directed me right to a line of vehicles I could choose from. I ended up choosing one that was above the class I paid for and I was not charged extra. Another very friendly employee greeted me when I returned the car, and the shuttle headed to the airport as soon as I got in it (which was great, because I returned the car only about 45 minutes before boarding). If I'm back in St. Louis, I'll definitely use Alamo. Thanks guys!
