  Steve should not be working the front counter. I was there dropping off my keys and a customer walked in and ask how long something would take. Steve said they are swamped and the customer said “ok.” Steve then walked out to the garage as soon as the customer left and yelled “I can’t change the world for you sir.” I then went to pick up my vehicle and had two 50 dollar gift cards and a 100 dollar gift card. I went to pay and he said he can only process 3 cards at a time. He said he has worked there 5 years and has never seen this before. What kind of people are you hiring there? I really hope this is seen because he makes it frustrating and awkward at the counter.

  Great job getting me tires in one day for a odd tire size. 265/40 R22... didn't realize how expensive tires have gotten.. I dropped it off, they said a couple hours, took all day or I would have given 5 stars.

  Mike is terrible. Extremely arrogant and condescending for someone who’s not even a mechanic! My truck is all messed up after I took it there. Check gage light was never on until I picked it up…. Makes a terrible noise, that’s new… declining them to hold my truck for another 4 days while they order a new coolant reservoir! I can’t help but feel cheated. Almost 2k later and it seems to have all sorts of issues it didn’t previously have… I’ll have to look at it myself when I have the time…. Steve is very nice and good guy, every time I have seen him he’s in a great mood.

  I’m unsure about the other Dobbs locations, but I would skip this one. I recently dropped my car off for an emissions check engine light. It took them several days to fix it, and communication was poor the whole time. I picked up the vehicle and had the emissions light come back on one day later. I brought it back in and they said it was something totally different and it would cost roughly 850 additional dollars to fix. I picked up the vehicle and took it to the Honda dealership for a second opinion. It ended up being the exact same thing that dobbs supposedly fixed, and was unable to cover it again under the warranty since dobbs had already ran it through the warranty company. With not wanting to go back to dobbs based on the experience, I asked them what it would cost. 271 dollars instead of the 850 that dobbs had quoted me. Which they should have covered for free anyway under the warranty work. The experience at the dealership was top notch with great communication. Opposed to my experience with dobbs when everytime I showed up or called, they seemed it was a pain to have to even deal with a customer. There follow up is terrible, and you have to hunt them down for any kind of update. There annoyed when you call to book appointments, and frankly provide a very poor experience. Go to the dealership, it’s cheaper and a better experience.

  I brought my 2016 Chevy Malibu LT to Dobbs Automotive for a check engine light. I was later told I needed an alternator replacement, oil change, air filter, and serpentine belt. I trusted their diagnosis and paid $1,700, assuming these repairs were the cause of the check engine light. While I was literally on my way to pick up my car, I received a call stating that they had just discovered the actual reason the check engine light was on and asked if I wanted to pay even more to fix it. This raises serious concerns about their diagnostic process, as the original, expensive repairs were clearly not addressing the issue I brought the vehicle in for. The experience felt misleading and opportunistic, and as a woman, I left feeling taken advantage of rather than helped. This shop did not operate this way when John Chase was manager—since his retirement, the quality and trustworthiness have noticeably declined. I would strongly advise others to seek a second opinion before approving any work here. This was a costly lesson, and I would not return or recommend Dobbs Automotive.
