Took my JLU in for the always exciting death wobble. I checked a few things, but nothing stood out. Dropped it off and they performed a thorough diagnostic - found a few things not torqued to spec, checked alignment and did a road force balance. They didn't try and sell me un-needed parts and the kicker was Tyler called a few days later to check up on the repair. They've earned my repeat business!

Kris and crew are fantastic. I dropped my VW Passat off for a check engine light after another mechanic in the area wouldn’t even touch it due to it being diesel. I had the car back in 24 hours with the problem fixed and next steps that need to happen if the light comes on again. Extra mile things that make me wish I could give them 6 stars: Kris brought me back home after I dropped the car off yesterday and my dirty car was washed when I picked it up. Thank you so much!

Only gave one star because I had to. If you are looking to blow extra money on a alignment and have your truck shake worse then it did with wore out parts not once but twice or have your wheel fall off on the highway just to have him tell you have him tell you to basically kick rocks after paying him 1600 bucks this is your guy! Had he handled things differently and actually stood behind his work like his Facebook claims he does all would have been fine but he does not. Wouldn’t let him work on my bicycle moving forward. Sad thing is he came highly recommended for lifted and off road vehicles yet his off road vehicle is always in his shop broken…….. red flag people. Also this isn’t towards his mechanics as they seemed like good guys this is directly at the owner !

How do I know if I need a wheel alignment?
Here are seven signs that may indicate it's time for a wheel alignment:
Uneven Tire Wear: Check your tires for uneven tread wear. If one side of a tire is wearing down faster than the other, it could mean your wheels are misaligned.
Vehicle Pulling to One Side: If your car drifts or pulls to the left or right when driving on a straight, flat road, it's a common sign that an alignment is needed.
Crooked Steering Wheel: If your steering wheel isn't centered when you're driving straight, it could indicate a misalignment issue.
Steering Feels Loose or Unresponsive: If your steering feels loose or wobbly, it could be due to misaligned wheels or suspension issues.
Vibrating Steering Wheel: A misaligned car can cause the steering wheel to vibrate, especially at higher speeds.
After Hitting a Curb or Pothole: If you recently hit a curb, pothole, or other obstacle, it's a good idea to have your alignment checked, as these can knock your wheels out of alignment.
Excessive Tire Noise: Misaligned wheels can cause your tires to squeal or make unusual noises, especially during turns.
If you're noticing any of these symptoms, it's a good idea to schedule an alignment check. Regular alignments can extend the life of your tires, improve handling, and enhance fuel efficiency. According to Bridgestone, on average, people drive between 12,000 to 15,000 miles a year, meaning even minor alignment issues can quickly lead to significant tire wear. As an auto repair shop, KMC Mechanical Repair provides reliable alignment services to keep your vehicle performing at its best.
How often should I service my differential?

How often should I replace my shocks and struts?
In our experience, shocks and struts typically last between 50,000 and 100,000 miles, depending on your driving habits and road conditions. However, if you notice signs of wear like leaking fluid, reduced stability, or a bumpy ride, they may need replacement sooner. Contact our team at KMC Mechanical Repair today to schedule an inspection and learn how our auto repair shop can keep your ride smooth and safe.
Can I drive with a bad suspension?
Driving with a damaged suspension is unsafe. It can lead to poor handling, reduced braking performance, uneven tire wear, and increased risk of accidents. If you suspect an issue, have it inspected and repaired promptly. KMC Mechanical Repair is an auto repair shop you can rely on to diagnose and fix suspension problems before they become more serious.
Why isn't my car's air conditioner blowing cold air?
There are several possible reasons, including:
Low refrigerant levels due to a leak.
A faulty compressor.
A clogged or dirty cabin air filter.
Electrical issues or a malfunctioning cooling fan.
An inspection can identify the exact cause.
Contact KMC Mechanical Repair today to schedule a service with an auto repair shop that's committed to keeping your A/C system running at its best.
