Dropped van off on 4-12-2026 didn’t hear from them I called a week later they had done one diagnose on it $185.00 something
Said they had to do another diagnose for a 2nd charge of $185.00 something I told them call me with problem and cost of repair I never heard from them
I call on 4-27-2026 yesterday they gave me a quote finally, I paid my $450.00 diagnose fee and
I took my van somewhere else
I’ve been taking my business and personal vehicles here since 1995ish.
Things seem different now
Thanks

I needed an emissions test to transfer my vehicle from Illinois to Missouri. I was driving by, saw the business, and stopped in to see if they could do it. They scheduled me for the next morning. I was in and out in less than 45-minutes. The man at the counter was very helpful and friendly. The price was reasonable. The whole process was easy. I highly recommend this location.

We have gone to Dobbs for repairs, inspections, and general questions. There are no stupid questions, they don't try to upsell you, and the workers have a good sense of humour.
This is not the Dobbs that we have faithfully gone to for over 20 years. The family owned business has been sold and the new owners do not seem to care about their employees or customers. They are now VERY understaffed while struggling with new computer systems (which greatly slows down check in and check out)and less employee support (which affects quality of technicians they can maintain). I brought my car in for a flat tire on a Thursday night….left it to be fixed Sat. I suspected a nail but I was told it was a bad seal. Picked up my keys Sat afternoon, but left the car because we were going somewhere. When I went to drive it, the tire was completely flat. Stuck without a car Sunday. Monday morning they rushed a repair. I asked about possible nail and I was told it was checked. Must still be the seal. Got in my car after the “repair” and the tire light was on again. I Had to borrow my neighbor’s car to get to an appointment. Then I Was told it was a nail all along! I honestly blame the new owners. Their employees can’t keep up, can’t give the attention they used to, and have young mechanics that are still learning the trade. I’m a loyal customer , but I’ll be going elsewhere.

One week earlier Dobbs replaced my front passenger tire with a new. A few days after the new one it developed a leak. Took it in and Dobbs replaced it with another new tire. No questions asked. Had me in and out in about 40 mins. Top notch professional and customer service.
