Dealing with Enterprise, as a whole, has been a NIGHTMARE. I called to reserve a car, while mine is getting warranty work done. I asked what the charges were. The customer service agent told me ONLY that there would be a $300 hold on my card. That's IT. I knew there would be a fee for rental, but what I understood was that would be paid when I returned the car.
I then talked to a associate at the store. He told me the same thing, "$300 hold on my card". Again, NO mention of the actual rental fee.
I got dropped of at the location and went through the process. The agent I talked to was gone, but the two I talked to were friendly and professional.
The charge then became $650. No one could explain why I am paying the whole fee AND a deposit, but I'm there stranded 20 minutes away from home. The car was dirty on the inside, and someone had CLEARLY been smoking cigarettes in it, despite "No Smoking" stickers throughout the car.
I paid the whole amount and went home.
I called customer service. Some were helpful, most had a SEVERE language barrier.
One agent told me that the "regional manager" would call me "right away". It's been 36 hours since then. No call from anyone.
I called again yesterday, the "regional manager" would call me, but they are "very busy". Doing what, running reports and merchandising a store? NOTHING is more important than a dissatisfied customer.
I then talked to an "escalation agent" at the customer service number who was INCREDIBLY rude. She talked over me, and when I asked her not to, she had NOTHING but attitude for the rest of the call. This is a person whose job is dealing with dissatisfied customers. I was never rude to her and I NEVER raise my voice with CSAs. Despite my blinding anger with the situation, I remained courteous, but I ended up hanging up on her for her TERRIBLE entitled attitude.
My wife is a nurse, she has to be at work. We have to have this car until ours is fixed, but if I had it to do over, I wouldn't step foot into ANY Enterprise location. The only reason I gave two stars is the two young men at the location were friendly and professional. Barring THAT, I wouldn't rent a pair of rollerskates from ANY Enterprise, and YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER.
