I bought a car from Lee’s Summit Honda and later discovered I had been charged about $3,000 for a clearcoat/paint protection package that I did not knowingly agree to.
At no point do I remember this being clearly explained as a $3,000 add-on. That’s a significant charge to be included without clear, direct acknowledgment.
While I understand I signed the paperwork, this experience left a bad impression. Transparency matters, especially with charges this large.
I would advise anyone considering buying here to go over every line carefully and question all add-ons before signing.
I would still be open to hearing from management regarding this. And let me not start talking about the mechanics in the auto shop horrible unprofessional.

Overall, the experience was good. However, I find it frustrating that I am consistently advised to get an alignment and new tires every time the vehicle is serviced. This recommendation was also made during the fuel injection recall service, but the tires from that visit have been fine through the winter. I had an oil change and alignment done by my trusted mechanic just last week, and yet I was told the car needs another alignment after driving less than 10 miles. On a positive note, Nick mentioned that the tires might last through the summer, which I appreciate.

TREMON, the salesperson who worked with us all day, was excellent professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant to talk with. We truly enjoyed the experience with him and he did everything right.
Unfortunately, the sales manager NATE completely ruined the sale. When we asked a reasonable question about why a credit check was run without permission during a cashiers check purchase, his response was arrogant, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of listening, de-escalating, or acknowledging his tone, he allowed his pride to get in the way.
We asked for an apology for how he was speaking to us, and were told, “Sorry you feel that way,” which only confirmed the lack of accountability or respect.
As someone in sales, I know that putting ego aside and treating customers with respect is basic professionalism especially when a coworker’s commission is on the line. It was disappointing to watch a manager choose conflict over resolution and undermine his own team.
Because of the sales manager’s behavior, we will not be doing business here and cannot recommend this dealership despite how great the salesperson truly was.

BEWARE OF NATE AT THIS DEALERSHIP!
I’m going to start with Tremon, you my friend are one of if not the best and most genuine car salesman I have ever had the pleasure of working with. You show true heart and character and that goes without question. Went in today 3/27 with my mother to buy a car outright with a cashiers check. Nate, the manager proceeded to run my mother’s credit without asking and then after being questioned proceeded to be rather arrogant and rude to my mother. After speaking to her that way he was confronted about his tone of voice and would not give a proper and respectable apology. I have NEVER walked out mid-deal before this but I could not give my money to a business that has management that acts this way. Who you let manage is a representation of your dealership and it is absurd that this is the way this business is choosing to be represented. Until Nate is no longer working at this establishment I will never be back. As a salesman myself this was rather upsetting to see this happen and to have Tremon lose out on a good sale. Tremon once again if you are reading this, keep killing it man and if you ever leave that dealership I would love to do business.

I need to revise this a bit. First time buying a car from Lee’s Summit Honda, and it was initially a nice experience. Everything seemed straightforward and we were able to get the deal we were looking for. We thought. The lifetime warranty offered with every car sold IS a game-changer! And since it wasn't disclosed that the car we purchased is from Canada, it voids all Acura Warranties in the US. If we want/need Acura Warranty Repairs, we will have to drive to Canada to get them. SO good thing for their warranty offer. This was NOT disclosed in the sales process. Also, the temp gauges are in Celsius vs Fahrenheit, which we were told they would change before we picked the car up - it wasn't, and when I took it to an actual Acura Dealer, I was told it can't be changed. Ugh! It's a beautiful car, but with major questions for long-term ownership. I am sad to report that, as it turns out, Lee's Summit Honda is not much different than those other guys, which continue to make the car-buying experience awkward and ugly. It certainly makes the vending machine option look better and better...
