Missouri regulations (overseen by the Missouri State Highway Patrol under Title 11 CSR 50-2) require public inspection stations to operate at least 8 continuous hours per day, 5 days per week during their normal business hours. However, the state does not mandate a specific closing time or prohibit inspections in the late afternoon/evening. The exact hours are set by each individual authorized inspection station (e.g., auto shops, dealerships, or service centers), and many operate until 5 PM, 6 PM, or later.

This morning, on his way to his first meeting of the day, he could hear the skid plate dragging on the pavement. He turned around and drove to the oil change place to get them to fix it. At the same time, I notice a puddle of oil on the garage floor where his car had been. I called to tell him and he had them check. Supposedly they tightened everything up and wiped down everything. Don’t have a lot of faith in this place. For $95, we were expecting better service and work than Walmart but definitely didn’t get it. Must be why the guys seem to be standing around a lot.
