If it is over a holiday weekend, you are tying up your money and effectively loaning them $151 for 2 or 3 days. The store clerk told me, "Don't worry. It will come off your account usually in 24 hours." My bank told me they get a lot of calls about Pilot gas stations about this. It is legal if they notify you but their notice is tiny fine print.
