Two gentlemen stepped up right away with inquiries on my frustration with the service at the 2661 Independence Avenue location. They were very supportive and apologetic about the managers way of handling me as a customer and promptly help me solve my transaction issues. If you are looking to shop at Advanced Auto Parts and you want to be treated with respect go to 4401 E Truman Rd and ask for Gerardo or Alfredo, absolutely superior associates.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
