Always a joy to pull into this place. Enough parking no mater what time you pull in, several options for food, and a large atmosphere. The only suggestion I'd make is decorating the bare walls with some art or something to make it more welcoming.

Sign out front said 4.29 a gallon I get to the pump and its 5.24 a gallon the idea that they're going to stick it to you at the pump with prices more than a dollar higher than the sign at the road is not only unethical but a clear demonstration of a bait and switch scam!

Too large, not enough staff, restrooms hard to find, no one attending McDonald's counter, self checkout didn't work. A woman was waiting for the price of a sensory toy for her disabled son because Petro did not have it in their system.

This place never disappoints. Plenty of parking although there’s some construction going on at the entrance so just slow down a bit as you pull in…it’s not set up like a traditional TA entrance. Several of food choices in the main store and a sandwich shop at the fuel island . I have been to the shop a few times at this location and I am always impressed by the quality service and attention they give to the drivers!

My husband and I take a trip to the 44 Petro in Joplin, Missouri every month to see what is new. We always get something for our grandchildren. Sometimes we will find something looking around, but we at times too get sewn ballcaps from the customizing spot. They are a friendly and accommodating bunch of youths. The food areas are getting bigger and bigger. Sad to see the Iron Skillet has closed but we may make a trip to try the new Brown Bear Diner when it opens. We often crack jokes on the way about which of the 12 songs they have played for the last few years will be on when we walk through the entrances. I may note, they do play joyful Christmas music in December! But to our unfortunate surprise we're greeted with distasteful music when looking around on this trip. They still had the same old same old but there were others being played as well. The new areas are very nice but I recon they should spare a moment to reconsider the atmosphere they promote. There were 2 moments in particular where the music alone deterred us from buying anything. I spotted this adorable sweater top for my great neice, then in the background all I hear is a distasteful song about what a woman is supposed to be with regard about her body. My stomach dropped because I hadn't heard such a song like that played in their store before. I asked my Elijah if my hearing aid was taking me for a ride. He said he heard the same words. We left that section and looked around elsewhere. We then found ourselves with the toy trucks and farm equipment. A song about a man who says his tractor is sexual over and over filled the air. It was a final straw that made this business lose us as customers for the day. We left our basket and walked out. Apologies for leaving the products not put back. We thought this was a family establishment. We are sad to say that we are unsure if we will return again. Unless there is certainty we won't be subjected to ungodly music. We will miss our over 2 decade era of monthly trips to the 44 Petro. Wanda and Elijah John Why not some music about the Route 66 or some old-fashioned truckstop or diner bops or reliable rock and roll? Music about bodies and sexualizing vehicles is an odd choice for a truckstop.
