Everytime my wife goes there they always have a reason to charge her more for basic repairs. Recently they told her she must get a tire replaced and they could not repair or plug it. But when I showed up, their story changed, and I was told she was given the option of replace or repair, which was a lie. They told her it they could not plug it. They said it was in the sidewall. After arguing to see the tire, their story changed once again. The hole was several inches from the sidewall, the plug would not be close, but he recommended that she replace the tire anyways. They will take advantage of people who dont seem to know better, but to follow their advice. Dont go to Dobbs unless you absolutely have to. They will take advantage of you if given the opportunity.

This place is dissappointing repeatedly. Last year purchased tires for a car they have previously put tires on (I.e. they know what size tires this car uses). Dropped my car off all day, at closing car not done because they don’t have the tires in stock. Super inconvenient to come back a second time! This week I called and asked to schedule a tire rotation on 4/3. They said I didn’t need an appointment. I dropped my car off at 9:00 AM on the day I requested. I went back at 5:00 and it wasn’t done- they said they didn’t have time. No offer to make it right and said come back another day. I’ll have to go back since my car now has a violent shake above 40 mph

Horrible. Had brakes replaced 11/4/24. Mileage was 146645. They continued to squeal. Brought back to Dobbs twice for squealing. Said they couldn’t find anything. On 3/27/26 rotors were found to be warped along with calipers etc. mileage was 165051. So after spending 1300 in November 2024, we now had to spend another 900 to fix front brakes. Obviously Dobbs put bad rotors on the first time and then those rotors caused brake system to fail. We are long time customers of Dobbs and have spent loads of money with them but we won’t be back.

Poor experience, spent a chunk of change to get some nice tires put on my car and they were not balanced. My wife took to another location (Festus) to get the wheels rebalanced and rear was off 3ozs. When she dropped it off the employee was condescending especially after she asked for them to be road force balanced. Treated her like she didn’t know what she was talking about. Got it back from them and still vibrates. Ended up taking the car to Toyota where they have the proper equipment to balance large wheels with low profile tires and you guessed it, no more vibration. Went to Dobbs even though they were quite a bit more expensive but they had the tires on a Sat and figured it would save me time instead of waiting for Discount to get them in stock. That was a mistake because this ended up costing me more time and an additional $90 to have the dealer balance in the long run. This was the first and last time ever doing business with this company.

I dropped my car off Monday (3/16) afternoon. I planned on doing an oil change Tuesday but a warning light popped on while I was driving to work. So I asked them to look into that. I was told it would take 2 days to run a diagnostic. Said whatever that’s fine, they called me Wednesday afternoon saying my gas cap was bad, O2 sensors and air intake valve were bad. They also mentioned that notices my radiator lines were bulging. I asked how long it would take to complete the work. They said they’d need to order parts but most likely would need till the end of the week maybe early the following week. I hadn’t heard anything so I called back Thursday afternoon and they were checking but then said they would need to call me back as they had several Altimas in and needed to figure out status of everything. I didn’t hear anything so I called them back Friday around noon and was transferred to their tech who just told me that one part was on back order and wouldn’t be in for the month and the other part was on the way and should be there Friday. I asked would my car be ready for me either that night or Saturday. I was told yes, I then walked down to Dobbs Saturday and talked to the store manager who told me that they were waiting on parts and I told him what I was told Friday. He came back and said that they had one of them and that my car would be fixed Saturday. I walked back home and waited for a call. 3:30 rolled around no call so I walked back down to the shop, the manager saw me and said they were working on my car now. I waited till 5 and then talked to the lady working the front desk who then had to go find out what was going on. She told me that my car was not done and that it was not drivable and that there was a miscommunication. I was told by the store manager and the technician that my car would done Saturday. Now I still don’t have my car (been with Dobbs since Monday). I will be calling the store Monday morning and expecting my car to be repaired that day. Luckily I was able to obtain a ride to work Monday. But the communication has been terrible, I’ve had to call several times and walk from my house to the shop several times to find out what is going on. And then to be told it will be fixed on that day and it not being completed has caused a lot of frustration. After this experience I will not be coming back to Dobbs. I want my car fixed and after that I will find a different place to take my vehicle moving forward.
