Stopped in yesterday because the low tire pressure light came on in my company car after about 150 miles of driving on the day. Dobbs in the Chesterfield Valley is where I generally go and they had put new tires on the vehicle about 3-4 months ago so I figured I should stop at one of their stores to get this issue sorted out before any damage occurred. Two of the four turned out to be 5+ pounds low and these guys put air in them. I asked at the counter to see about having them take a look for any issues that could have caused the problem and the store manager told me I would have to leave the vehicle with them for about 5 hours before anyone could take a look. Thanks but no thanks! I went back to my regular Dobbs and they had me in and out (two tires repaired due to nails, etc) in about an hour. They know me there because I have 5 vehicles that they maintain. I don't plan to take a vehicle to any of their other locations any time soon and certainly won't be back to this location unless it's an emergency. Even then, probably not.

  I stopped going to the Ellisville Dobbs years ago because of the slow service and attitude of some of their employees. My mother in-law got a nail in the side wall of one of her tires and needed an inspection. I went to NTB only the find out they only had 2 workers that day. I refuse to go to Firestone so I thought I would try Ellisville Dobbs again. Guy who originally waited on me was friendly and ordered the tire. Told me it would be in the next day and the car should be done around noon. I have to get a ride out to them so I made plans for a ride around 1:00. Called and whoever answers their phones at lunch time had attitude and let me know that I do not have to call them to see if the car is done they will call me! Okay…I waited for their call. No one called and it was already after 4:00 so I called them. Car was just pulled out of the bay but they forgot to do the inspection so they went and pulled it back in. Bottom line my wife had to leave work to come get me close to 5:00 instead of the ride I lined up in the afternoon. Again, as in the past the car was in for simple stuff and was promised around a certain time but was done 5 hours later with NO phone call or text! A simple text message informing me that it would be done much later then stated would of made a huge difference in my experience with Dobbs. Communication!!!! I can always plan accordingly as long as I know what is going on. Having to find a ride or disturbing my wife at work at the last minute could of been avoided and I had the pleasure of slightly being scolded for calling and asking for the status of the car. Now that Dobbs is no longer owned by the Dobbs family and things have not changed for the better I guess I will make the drive to the Plaza tire in the valley.
