I had a very disappointing experience with Camping World in Columbia, MO. On March 10 I contacted the dealership about a 2021 Tiffin Wayfarer 25RW (Stock #2530927) listed online. Before traveling, I specifically asked the salesperson if there was any known water intrusion or major damage. I was told the dealership had the title in hand and that the coach was in “great shape” with no known water issues. Based on that representation, I drove five hours from Rowley, Iowa to see the RV. When I arrived, within seconds of inspecting the rear bathroom area it was obvious the coach had significant signs of water exposure, including: • Swollen and delaminating cabinet panels • Corrosion and green oxidation on cabinet hardware • Rust on the bathroom door track and fixtures • Visible staining and deterioration inside cabinetry • Mirror backing deterioration consistent with moisture exposure These were not minor cosmetic issues and were immediately visible. When I pointed this out, the salesperson minimized the damage and suggested it would “clean right off,” then attempted to redirect the conversation toward purchasing a different motorhome priced about $30,000 higher. This trip required 5 hours of driving each way plus a hotel stay, which I would not have incurred had the condition of the RV been accurately represented beforehand. I have since contacted Camping World corporate regarding the issue. I would strongly encourage future buyers to request current condition photos and detailed information before traveling long distances to view a vehicle here.

After purchasing my destination trailer from Camping World, I would highly not recommend buying a destination trailer through them. A destination trailer is meant to stay in one place. It is not something that is easily hauled back and forth for service. On the day I received the camper, there was already a crack in the countertop. I immediately communicated this to the service department and was told it would be taken care of. I was also told that because it is a destination trailer, they would allow the countertop to be ordered and replaced without requiring me to bring the entire unit back in, since moving it would require hiring someone to haul it again. After the summer of using the camper, I followed up and discovered the countertop had never even been ordered. Now, almost a year later, I am still dealing with the same issue. Yes, it is “just a countertop,” but when you purchase a very expensive unit, you expect basic issues like this to be handled promptly. The bigger problem has honestly been the lack of communication and follow-through from the service department. For such a large purchase, the after-sale service should be much better than this. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing a destination trailer from Camping World.

On 2/16/2026 my girlfriend and I went here to look at and possibly purchase a camper. We found one that would work perfect for us. We went ahead and started the loan application, thinking that we probably would not get approved. However, to our surprise, the finance guy came back with a paper for us to sign that said congratulations on your new camper. We filled out all of the paperwork. We were told to pick it up not the next Friday, but the following one after that. We were also told to get a break controller on my truck and to get insurance on the camper. We had not heard anything back from them for a week, so I decided to call to make sure everything was going as planned and to change the time of pick up. I was told over the phone on 2/23/2026 from a different finance guy that if we filled out the paperwork the camper is definitely ours and we should look forward to picking it up at our scheduled time. I was then called back from that same finance guy a half hour later and was told that we did not get the camper and that we needed a cosigner. He said the original finance guy called after we left on the 16th and talked to my girlfriend, that never happened, I am pretty sure that they called the wrong person. All in all, it has been a horrible experience being told that we were able to get the camper, setting up a time to pick it up, not hearing anything for a week, and then being told that we can’t get the camper. It is not a good way to run sales at all, and shows very poor salesmanship. If I could give zero stars I would. I am just glad we did not get the insurance on it like they told us to and have that extra charge.
