Absolute joke of a car rental facility. No cars available to give despite taking my reservation and allowing me to check in. (I was one of at least 3 people who didn't get the car they reserved at this time) They'll respond to this review with some bogus highly tailored corpo slop saying that roughly translates to "if this was a problem for you, that sucks but we don't *actually* care because we're not going to do anything to fix it"
Reservation; an arrangement to have something held for ones use.
It would benefit this location greatly to take the "hold" part in that definition a little more seriously. 100% permanent loss of business from me in future. They don't respect your time, they don't deserve your business.

The entire rental experience was awful! The location in Cape Girardeau should be closed! The customer service was anything but good. It took me 3 days to get through to the local office on the phone to schedule a pickup from my hotel. When I was picked up an hour later than they said, the driver was nice. When I went in to the rental office, I waited another 30 minutes, then had to answer all the same questions I already answered and confirmed in my reservation. It was only after this that they said “ ok, I will get a car cleaned up for you shortly “ that took another 30 minutes. Why is it they weren’t expecting me and had a car ready? Every other rental agency has this service available. The entire time I was in that office (1 hour) the phone was ringing in the background and was never answered by any of the 3 employees there. The car was so dirty I couldn’t tell if there was any damage before I took it, so I took pictures myself just in case. The smell of the inside of the vehicle was too strong to sit in, seems they just sprayed it with air freshener of some kind. I ended up buying an air freshener myself for the rental time. I was told before I left that I could return the car back to the airport and drop off, and just to call them when I got there so they could stop the charges; that’s funny… they don’t answer their phones. The rental area at the airport was closed, so I just took pictures of the car again, the key being put in the drop box; then I just hoped for the best! I did text the number back they told me to use, no response. I eventually called the 800# and told them I dropped it off. That was on Sunday 2/8/26; I did not get confirmation of my drop off and final bill until Wednesday 2/11/26. I tried and couldn’t even pull the reservation up on the app or website. Worst car rental experience ever! You should be ashamed to have that location open and operating as it does; this makes your entire company look bad! On a side note, I called the 800# 2 other times about this rental and they apologized saying they had management issues at this location. No excuse! Close this location or fire all the employees and start over. As a consumer, we have choices, this is not one I will make again!

It would be nice if they actually had the vehicle there you reserved. They try to get you to take something smaller than you need. In the end you leave without anything snd have to scramble to change your plans! They don't cars at all because there isn't any place else to rent a vehicle.

This was the worst experience I've ever had renting cars all over the world! They wouldn't let my boss hire the car for me. (I had to show up in person). They wouldn't deliver the car to the airport. (I agreed to collect the car myself). They attached unrequested optional charges to my rental. They gave my reserved rental away when I came to pick up and left me stranded. Fortunately at the end of a frustrating situation the manager finally apologized and found me a minivan.
