DL transmission is great. They contacted my warranty company and did everything. They even told me I was eligible for a rental through my warranty.

We took a car to them for transmission work. A couple of weeks they said? A couple more they said? The mechanic was experiencing a personal issue? The mechanic was on vacation? Finally, after two months of lip service, we chose to take the car elsewhere! When we picked it up, The owner Gina charged us $50.00 for looking at it? What a minute, they advertise a "FREE" transmission inspection Right? They always have? FALSE ADVERTISMENT!!! We were charged! We took the car to Buessinks Transmission in Leopold. Couldn't be more SATISFIED!!! We got it in right away, and picked it back up within a week! They did GREAT work and didn't give us the run around! **YOU ABSOLUTELY DIDN'T CHECK FLUIDS! I was not told there would be a charge, nor did I agree to one! The INSPECTION WAS ADVERTISED AS "FREE" The charge came when I chose to take it somewhere else! You kept giving us excuses! If I'd been told it would be two months, I would have waited! We brought it in February long after the holidays! More Lip Service To Justify your poor customer service and communication!

3 years ago I had to have my transmission rebuilt. At the time I was upset at the repair, not because of anything D and L did, but because of how expensive a transmission repair can be. Well fast forward to last week (January 15, 2026). I had to tow my 2002 Ford Explorer back to D and L Transmissions, with an awful feeling as my car only had first and second gear. Fearing the worst I thought for sure I was going to have to spend (find) the funds to rebuild the transmission again as I believed the warranty had expired. However, the great people at D and L Transmissions hooked their diagnostic tool to the car, did their thing, came back to me and told me they would have to investigate a little to find out what was wrong. Then I was told that everything was going to be covered under the warranty. You want to talk about a relief. As it turned out it was not the worse case scenario of rebuilding the transmission again, it was a faulty part that didn't require a lot of time to repair. Fast forward to this week (January 22, 2026), I placed a call to see if there was an update to my car repair. I was told it was ready, at no cost to me at all. I am so thankful, do be blessed with this news. I send prayers to the hard working people at D and L as they went above and beyond what they needed to. Thank you again for all you do.

I personally as a shop owner whom deals with the public not only will I never recommend or refer this shop but will tell anyone thinking of using them to not walk but run the other direction! I used them for two different customers transmissions in which both have had nothing but problems and when both myself and the said customers contacted them they were rude unprofessional and plain disgusting to deal with and thats putting it nicely!!!
