- ARamia ringoSep 25, 20251.0Worst experience ever. I bought a battery and one of their employees installed it. I knew something was wrong when he took the battery out and turned it around. After almost 2 hours of waiting on him to finish when I started my truck I got a alert that said "battery not charging stop vehicle". The guy tested the battery, starter and alternator. It said the alternator was bad. I explained he killled my alternator when he turned the battery the wrong way. I spoke to store manager who told me that 2 of the employees was saying they did not know which side was positive and which was negative and they were googling tying to figure it out. He also said they never should have changed it with fuses on the battery. The district manager said to take it to shop and if its their fault they will cover. I took it to the dealership who said they killed my computer system and could be more damage once the system is fixed to run more test. Price is 2200.00. I advised the DM of this and said they need to pay to repair my Volkswagen truck. They want me to pay for the repairs and say they will reimburse me. Will not give me anything in writing, will not pay for a rental as my truck is not drivable. This has stressed me out so bad. I have missed work over this. I do not like how they are handling their mistake. I am thinking of filing a lawsuit. This is not acceptable to treat people this way. I have filed a complaint with corporate and they had a regional manager reach out who has not even returned my calls or text today. This has been a horrible experience. I can not believe how they have turned my life upside down. I dont know how or how long I will going through this. Autozone needs to make it right. I am so depressed behind not having a vehicle.
