    The Christmas Tree Lot for our church uses an old jobsite trailer to keep our stuff in and also use like an office. This is an old trailer that had old tires. Jeff, the Car-X Manager at the Ballwin location, found the tires quickly and was ready to replace them that day. They cleaned off the rust so they would fit right and not loose air. They made sure everything was right. The price was fair and they really took good care of us. Communication was awesome too. Thank you to Jeff and his Mechanic for making our next Tree Lot season possible! Oh, and apparently I have a credit coming back. I’ll need to remember to stop by and take care of that. 😁

    I have been coming here for 15 years and will no longer be a customer due to my latest experience. Sorry for the long story, but I wanted to put all of the facts down and try not to inject too much subjectivity in this review: Latest issue: I scheduled an appointment for 11:00AM for safety and emissions. They don't get my car in until 12:30 and immediately tell me it will fail due to the horn not working. Fair enough, although I will add that the horn on this vehicle has never worked since I had owned it and this same shop had passed the vehicle 4 years ago.. but understand it is supposed to work for safety. Thinking fixing a horn on a Chevy couldnt cost more than $300 and take more than an hour-ish, I give the ok to diagnose it and fix it. 4 Hours later they charged me $600 for this horn. The horn worked after this service. One week later I lock the doors and don't hear the horn. Check the steering wheel button, no horn. I scheduled a 9:00AM appointment and take it back to have it fixed under the 12 month warranty. I get notified at the end of the day, it would stay overnight and that it would be parked under cover (I appreciate that), but think that with a morning appointment it should have been fixed that day. Luckily, I didnt need the vehicle that day, so I did not need to make arrangements to get a ride or rental car. The next day I get it and get charged another $50. A different part had failed that they had not fixed the first time. $50 alone is not an unreasonable amount of money; However, I am now $625 into this horn and have lost two full days. I also have minimal confidence it will make it another two years to the next inspection. If it breaks again, I am not taking it back out of fear it will somehow cost even more money. In a prior experience, I took an Acura in and they recommended a transmission fluid change. It had never been done before, so I went ahead and did it. After dumping the original fluid, they told me they don't have the right fluid to replace it with. They offered to order the correct fluid and in the mean time, replace it with a different fluid that they said was "within spec." I had mixed feelings about this. I appreciated the transparency because they could have filled the transmission with the other fluid and not said anything and I would likely have never known. But it also seemed incompetent to suggest doing the service if they did not have the right fluid to begin with. In summary, Jeff has been here the whole time I have been bringing cars by and is always pleasant to work with. He will sometimes make suggestions fixing things yourself to save money, which I appreciate. However, I don't have a lot of confidence in the shop fixing my problems correctly, timely, and for a reasonable amount of money. Appointments seem to be more like a guideline than a time your car will actually go in, and I have learned that waiting with the vehicle will cost you your day. Therefore, I would recommend going elsewhere for service.

    Always a fantastic experience at this Car-X! The staff is friendly and professional. Service is quick, the pricing is great, and I've never been upsold anything. Jeff is great and always accommodating and takes time to explain the work they are doing and why. Been going here for years for multiple inspections, tires, brakes, etc. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for honest and quality automotive care!

    Be leery! Autozone sent me- they are incahoots The manager had papers for me to sign - put in front of me like a slick car salesman. When I declined he removed the papers before I took my next breath. It was eeery. Go to Master Tech Auto they will not let you down
