  Great store with, mostly, fantastic staff. I didn't see a single employee who did not offer to assist unless they were already with a customer. Great selection of camping gear, hunting gear, and a massive clothing area. HUGE shout out to Ken, in archery! He is very knowledgeable and one of the most patient men I've met. Took my son, 11, through his first time using a compound bow. Yes, they have an indoor archery range and are happy to let you try things out. Ken adjusted the bow and helped my son use it with highly professional speed and expertise. If you have a first-time archer or are one yourself, do yourself a favor, and go see Ken! The only negative was the "timeshare" type gimmick presented by a "manager", didn't catch his name. I get that they are trying to promote their vacation properties, but come on, Bass Pro, it's not the 90's anymore. Does anyone actually fall for this crap anymore?

  Horrible experience. Cashier was rude to me because I didn’t want to sign up for rewards program. Then refused to let me check out when I asked to check the price on a fishing rod. I’m from out of state and this is the first time I’ve met an unpleasant Minnesotan.

  I reluctantly decided after many years that it might be time to rejoin the ranks of the gun owners and decided to replace a revolver that I had to give up 25 years ago. I started my search on GunBroker.com where I quickly dropped out of the bidding frenzy with people probably paying twice the guns' original price. My old model was no where to be seen and I started looking for what seemed to be a similar current model.Then a friend forwarded me a GB listing that I had missed that had a NEW one from Bass Pro at the regular retail price! Their website expressly forbid any transfers except to their store in my state of residence. (and definitely not to an FFL) I hadn't much hope for finding ANYTHING retail, but called the SC store (would have been a 3 hour drive) and they said to call this MN store - that 'they have lots of guns!" Bass Pro has an antiquated inventory control system where stores (and even the HQ) cannot check each other's inventory. Spoke to a depressed guy at HQ who lamented this non-system. Every one of the dozen employees I spoke to had a different definition of rules/policies. So anyway, I called MN and spoke to a youngish guy who shall remain nameless (but knew what '13' meant) who knew how to GET THINGS DONE! He walked to the back room and found my baby on a shelf. It was on the way to my SC FFL the next day. I saved hundreds! BRAVO!
