Drove my car to work the next day and the dash and the top of the windshield was make a creaking and popping noise. I made another appointment with safelite to fix the issue. A different technician came out (he looked like he was 12) and said that if he can’t fix it, then I will have to bring my car to the shop in Wait Park, Mn. He test drove the car and said yes the dash is making noise, he talked to his manager Sheldon and he said not to take it the shop, that there is nothing they can do about it. I wound have to live with it. The technician gave me the managers (Sheldon) phone number. I called and talked to Sheldon, I told him that “I wasn’t going to just live with it “ and that they needed to correct their mistake. I said the dash is making all kinds of noise. Sheldon said “am I supposed just take your word for it, maybe the noise was there before the windshield was replaced. I told him the car is two years old and under warranty, if the dash was making noise it would have been fixed by the dealer. I told Sheldon, if you don’t fix it, I will file a complaint with their corporate office, then take the car to be fixed at the dealership and bill their office. He finally agreed to make an appointment at their shop. I brought the car to the shop two days later. The technician who originally put the windshield in showed me how the windshield slid down a little bit, he reinstalled the windshield all seems good now. I will never use Safelite or recommend them to others.
